anatomy question

I've posted before regarding how my shoulder blades pop when I move my arms (yes, it hurts.) My question is what is making them pop? What do they catch against?

don't know your injury level - but it could be weak serratus anterior muscles - or it could also be weakness in any of the muscles that help move the scapula (shoulder blade)or hold it in place.
