EatRight for SCI Weight Management
The United States is in an obesity epidemic. Persons with SCI are not immune, but perhaps more vulnerable to this trend because of a relatively sedentary lifestyle. UAB RRTC asks individuals with SCI to participate in a weight management and wellness program. This research program is designed to improve your weight control, nutrition, and health status. Free 12-week series of nutrition classes, exercise sessions, and sample menus. Free evaluation.

To participate individuals must
* have been injured for one or more years.
* be approximately 15% or more above the ideal body weight.
* visit UAB once every week for 12 weeks (transportation service is available upon request).
