Women's Issues Website
Hi Everyone! This is Wendy. I'm a C5/6, 18 yrs post and am working with the CareCure people to build a website for women in wheelchairs. It will be a central resource of information on female related issues such as pregnancy, parenting, domestic violence, beauty, sexuality, reproductive health and general health and wellness. Also there will be a link to a CareCure forum to discuss issues with one another and a chatroom. The chatroom can be used to host online discussions with experts in the field. I would really appreciate your input, especially with the following two questions:
1) Should the forum and chatroom only be accessible to women? Please reply to poll. 2) What is the best name and URL for the web site? Please reply below. We thank you in advance for your thoughts and ask for replies as soon as possible. Stay tuned for more information and we look forward to seeing you at the new site! |

Awesome, Wendy!!!
I'm going to post a link to this in the 'Life' forum, so maybe more folks will see it. With the new 'interface' here, maybe your topic and poll aren't getting enough exposure. Lots of luck with this!!! _____________ Tough times don't last - tough people do. |

A women's site would be great! |

Wendy, I am 21, a female, C 5/6, 8 months post. I know you don't need any reinforcement that what you are participating in is wonderful! Many will get use from it. I know one of the main things I was concerned about, when I was injured, was pregnancy. I had to reasure my doctor that I wasn't planning to have a baby anytime soon. I just have a million questions about the best way to prepare my body for the healthiest pregnancy. Also, I do believe that, even though this is a web-site for WEOMEN in wheelchairs, maybe there should be a section devoted to men who have special weomen in thier lives that are wheelchairers! Where they can find answers to various aspects regarding our lives.
