full size vs. Mini-van
I'm thinking of selling my full size van conversion which I don't drive because it's not set up to drive from my chair and buying a mini-van which I can drive from my chair. Would I get enough $ for a 2003 E350 Conversion (lift, 6 way seat, hand controls, lowered floor) to buy a mini-van?

Doubtful. The depreciation on vans is very steep...you loose about $10-15,000 in value just driving it off the lot. How many miles do you have on your van?

I know they're expensive, but the only thing you're lacking is the EZlock to be able to drive from your chair. You could offset the price a lot by selling your 6way seat base.
New, I was quoted $1700 for EZlock and $2400 for 6way, both installed. So you should be able t get a decent price for yours. Could be a lot less out of pocket than switching vans. "Rather be ridin' than rollin'" |

I have an EZLock but the area by the steering wheel is not lowered so I can't just remove the 6way seat...

Ritz - How much are you asking? What's the mileage. How about a picture (inside & out)?

Well I'm not 100% selling it yet. The mileage is ~20,000 kilometers (I'm Canadian) and I was thinking I might ask ~35,000-40,000 Canadian $. Brand new the van was 60,000 with the mods. It has a power folding rear bench seat, lowered floor, EZLock, 6 way powerseat, tri-fold lift, hand controls, tri-pin knob, low effort steering and braking.
Guess I need to price out minivans. Anyone know what a 2000 or newer converted (lowered floor, drive from chair, hand controls and simple ramp(hate complicated electronics that fail at the most crucial time)) goes for? |

Full size or mini depends on your lifestyle. As an avid outdoors man,i could never get away with a mini van.To low to the ground,to light etc..i had a friend sell his full size and pick up a mini last fall,he spent the whole winter unable to get out on the lake ice fishing....just a thought.

Would the ground cleaence be an issue with regular city driving? Like scraping on speed bumps? Or not that bad?
