Car
I would love to sell my "baby" to someone with a disability b/c it's already outfitted.
I cant really go on usedcars.com (or the like) to sell it. It's a VW GTI. 98, great cond., with all the fixin's (drives like a Porsche) Torsten [This message was edited by bear1019 on 05-08-03 at 12:54 PM.] |

GTI's are fun cars to drive...I drove a couple pre-injury, they all had manual transmissions.
I'm assuming yours is probably an automatic, right? Do you have other adaptive modifications done to it besides just hand controls? Just wondering why you cant sell it on usedcars.com etc. if it only has hand controls that are easily removable. |

You are right, they are a blast to drive. As I was driving into NYC last night weaving in and out of traffic I was thinking "awww, I'm gonna miss this". But, I cant complain...
It has zero-resistance power stearing. It's just hard to sell off like that b/c what people dont know, they dont like. The zero-resistance isnt THAT lose, just very loose. Recaro Racing Seat (great side support and very comfortable. Not one of those hard racing seats like in the movies) I might as well give it a shot on those sites. Ya never know. |
