Depends on what you need. I have an electronic gas/brake, zero-effort steering, push-button shift, two lock-downs and a tri-pin for the steering wheel. Cost was around $15K for all that, nine years ago.

Hi, prices for standard hand controls are between 425.00 and 475.00 for new controls, those prices are what I found on the internet. installation will cost you almost as much as the controls themselves. I had my neighbor install mine.

Also keep in mind that the car manufacturers will reimburse up to $1000 for adaptive equipment when buying a new vehicle. So if you just need standard hand controls in your new minivan, they could be free.

I bought a new Toyota and I was reimbursed on my hand controls. When the bill came to the house it was around $950.00. I would check with the dealer you bought the van at to see what they have. Alls it should be is a form you have to fill out and the installers.

Hand Controls
Installed, $750. I did receive $1,000 disability allowance from Chrysler. Having a mechanically inclined friend, etc. would save you a bundle on installation. You'll still get the allowance check.

You guys are not specifying what type of hand controls. I'd guess from the prices these are simple mechanical linkages. In a minivan, for a C5/6, more extensive hand controls are generally needed.

Hi Kyle...
They sell portable hand controls on the web. Can't remember the link, but they seemed cheaper than the prices stated here. Yours shouldn't be flimsy...maybe you got the portable ones, which probably aren't as structurally sound as the more expensive ones. -peace
