What not to say.....
Found this on the web - thought it was pretty funny:
Ten things never to say to a disabled person: (10) It's ok, I know how to deal with you, I've worked with the disabled. (9) I saw this awesome thing on tv that could really help you! (8) You must not take anything for granted. (7) Oh you're married...is your partner disabled too? (6) How do you do it? (5) Wait there... (4) You are so brave. (3) If I became disabled I think I'd kill myself! (2) So how did you become crippled? (1) You must know Rick Hansen? - Brad Jacobsen |

sadly, that's true. I've had all of the above except #7 & #1 said to me... multiple times.
![]() true, it's funny... most people mean well... they're just dumb sometimes ![]() ______________ There will be plenty of time to rest when I'm dead and gone, until then, 150% straight ahead.... |

I went to get xrays about a month ago, and the tech snottily told me she needed me standing for these x-rays. I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair. Also, whenever someone absentmindedly tells me to have a seat....i just laugh and say, good cuz I brought my own.
