Question for you poets ...

For some reason today, a line from a W.H. Auden poem sprang to mind, and I can't for the life of me remember the name of the poem. I even searched google.

"... stagger onward rejoicing ..."

Martha, you can do a search with his name and include the word "poetry". I did and found the following url... http://www.poets.org/poets/poets.cfm?prmID=121

It had some of his poetry. Check it out and maybe you can find the one you speak of. Hope you find it.

Thanks Raven. That was the exact site I'd checked out. I thought "Shield of Achilles" must be the poem, but after reading it, turns out it isn't.

I heard the poem on the radio being read by Kelsey Grammar (sigh) and that line struck me like a lightening bolt. I needed it right then because it described me. Guess I need it again.

The poem is by Auden, one of my favorite poets. the title is "Atlantis". if I knew how to include a link I would. I used google and the words atlantis and auden and it brought up sites with the poem. happy hunting.
