Thanks November for that wonderful trip down memory lane! Actually, Shot Through the Heart wasn't the song going through my head; I was hearing "Hangin' Tough". EEK! I remember most of those things, and a few others:

- Madonna's "Like a Virgin"
- "Spokey Dokeys" on the spokes of your bicycle
- Bright blue eyeshadow
- The "Flashdance" dancer look
- Friendship pins
- Plastic bracelets (the ones that kinda felt like they were made from jelly shoe material)
- You thought Nancy Drew and Frank Hardy should hook up
- Judy Blume was one of the best authors
- Sesame Street was on TV about 6 times a day
- G.I. Joe was one cool guy

He is able who thinks he is able. - Buddha

Dire Straits
Big ol' mall bangs
Cool black punk rock boots
On other days, cool cowgirl clothes (Urban Cowboy)
Billy Squiers
Headbands around your forehead under the mall bangs
Jane Fonda and aerobics

I wasn't acually a child of the 80's. More like a 20's-er.
