We got a call from my sister today. Seems that while she was at work, she had a feeling she was going to fall down the stairs there, so she went home. Fell down the steps there. Cracked a couple bones in her right foot. Well, steps were involved.

Reminded me of the day of my accident. I was driving down with three friends from Baltimore to my cousin's beach house in Annapolis. In and around Annapolis, you have to cross a few rivers. I was convinced someone was going to force my car off a bridge, so I was making sure I was prepared to roll down the windows and open the doors once the car was was down far enough in the water to do so, allowing us to escape. No problem on any bridge. Got to my cousin's house, did my racing dive, hit the Unidentified Floating Object, end of story. Hey, I got the water part right.

No wonder my family can't pick lottery numbers.

The day I was injured (at 3:15 in the afternoon, Kentucky time, which I only know because I've read the accident report ) my Mom was teaching mathmatics at the local college here in California.
At precicely 6:15 (here in Ca, making it exactly the same time as I went down in Ky) she "felt something" and knew something had happened to one of us kids.
So she dismissed the class and went home, where she found Jerry Hurley (Our DFMO) and my Father, who told her I had been injured.
'Cource they didn't know how badly just yet. That took a 3am call from am ICU nurse.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about your sister. Hope she's feeling better soon.

Me, I always had the feeling I wouldn't live to 21. My SCI happened a month and 4 days after my 21st birthday.
