Groceries
As I wait for my groceries to be delivered, I'm curious to know how others get their groceries.
I usually go to the store a couple of times each week to get a few things, but most of my groceries are delivered. How about you? Shannon 33 year old T4/5 complete 25 years post |

My parents usually do the grocery shopping, but I like to see what's new occasionally.

Either the gf does the shopping, or Peapod delivers (on-line shopping service).

Are groceries on line more expensive? What about delivery charges? That's one thing I miss about living in NYC!

Either my wife or I go with one of the boys. Once in a great while all of us go. Did you ever see the Grizzwalds on National Lampoon? Thats what we look like.

I'd like to do my own shopping, or at least go to the store and pick out the things I want. Before my mom broke her leg, I went along. Now my sister does the shopping. It's hard to make a list not being able to see whats out there.

I did my own shopping for years. Thought of it as a way to try to meet women. That part never worked. I always used a hand basket on my lap. Filling it up 3/4's full meant that my purchases would fit in a doubled paper bag. So I tried not to shop when I was hungry and might pick out too much. I could never use plastic bags as they'd contantly slide off my lap. So, I'd leave the store with one tall paper bag on my lap, blocking my vision. I'd simply look around it.
Now, I go shopping with my wife. It's a fun time together and a definite improvement over trying to meet someone. ![]() ~See you at the SCIWire-used-to-be-paralyzed Reunion ~

LOL Great one Jeff!
![]() Dogs work better at pickin up the chicks ![]() I don't know how ya'll do it in areas where a store is more than a mile away or in another town!! Benefits of city livin is that everything is in "walking" distance, esp where Im at. grocery is down block or others being with few blocks. Usually have others shop for me but have shopped on own when using power chair or in manual with scheduled trip to the store (since it would be impossible to push to the bigger store myself). True about NOT shopping when hungry. I buy too much whenever I go myself, hungry or not. Only thing I hate is having other people pick out fruit. UGH. Like they become retarded when it comes to picking out fresh fruit! Finally, if I do go myself, I can better comparison shop and look for better prices.
