anybody here from the Vancouver area?

one of my friends (actually my old boss) has a cabin on a lake about 150 mi. north of Vancouver. They go trout fishing there in the summertime and some of the other guys that I used to work with are planning on going again this summer. I am trying to find them out how much of a nightmare it would be logistically to get me there, if not this year may be next. My questions are: what are the temperatures like at night in July and August? I have been told that the only way to get to the cabin is by small plane (six or eight passenger). . . Has anyone ever flown on one of these planes? How bad was it?

I've flown in small planes before and think they r cool. A little tricky to get carried in but, well worth but, then again, I love anything with wings, just put me up there and throw me out (with a shoot preferly)

Me.

I had no problem with the small planes before injury, especially since I am from a small town in Mississippi and that is all they had at the airport (usually 15 seaters). I felt much safer on those that I did the larger planes actually, not sure why. Since being injured three years ago, I have not ventured on a plane yet and the small ones seem like they would be a problem. I was told it is only a short flight from Vancouver, but was a very long drive because of the mountains.

I grew up near Vancouver, and the weather should be fine! You may need a sweater if your up high in the evenings but it wont be bad at all. And the beautiful scenery will definitely make it worth while! I envy you!

July and August will be warm. Probably anywhere between 15-30 degrees (C!) depending on where you are on the coast.

trout fishing

Hi Carl,

The weather in BC 150 miles North of Vancouver could be quite hot during the day, or quite cold/rainy. It all depends. Night would be cooler of course. Do you know what town or area it is near? If the only way in is by plane, it is probably in quite a remote area.

I'm sure it would be very enjoyable.......but don't forget your mosquito repellent. Good Luck and have fun!
