One more question about that ez-lock system of yours? How low does the locking mechanism under your chair hang down, does it interfere at all with getting up and over curves and that sorta thing? I checked out there site and cant tell from the pictures. Thanks man....

I use the ez-lock system in my van. I have to use my power chair when driving because it has the locking pin welded to it. The pin definitely gets in the way when going over curbs and even most door thresholds. It truley is a hassle!

Shaun- I use the same system. The bolt is about an inch from the floor. Sometimes I have trouble going over the runner on the rug if it's not even. Curbs are the same way, if they're not even, I usually scrap against the surface.

E-Z lock

We had problems at first too, but got the van company to set the E-Z lock mechanism up a little higher, which allowed us to change the height of the pin on the wheelchair. Now only scrap on unusually high thresholds. Check this out when ordering your adaptations. (KLD)

The pin on my chair is pretty much in line with the axle, so my rear wheels go over the bump and the pin never touches it. The only exception I've found is when a friend hlps me over a curb or step and one wheel goes off first. Then the pin might catch and scrape on the curb. But if I go over door jams and bumps straight on, there's no problem.

I'll try and sketch it out so it makes more sense.
