Sister Kenny Institute Golf Tournament for Golfers With Physical Disabilities August 24
MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The 19th annual Sister Kenny Institute Golf Tournament for golfers with physical disabilities will be Friday, August 24, at Braemar Golf Course in Edina, Minn.

The tournament is open to any golfer with a physical disability, visual or hearing impairment. Abbott Northwestern's Sister Kenny Institute and Braemar Golf Course jointly sponsor the event to promote golf competition for people with disabilities.

Trophies are awarded for first and second place in each flight and each division. The entry fee for the 18-hole division is $35 and $15 for the executive nine-hole. All fees include golf carts.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start: the 18-hole division at 7 a.m. and the executive nine-hole at 9 a.m. Lunch and the awards program will be at 1 p.m.

Abbott Northwestern's Sister Kenny Institute provides multiple rehabilitative services, research and advocacy related to the effects of stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, sports and orthopedic injuries.
