Finding a Job
Our insurance company provides a service called Ask A Nurse, don't know if they work for the insurance company of if it is a contracted thing.
But if you can find a similar type of thing in your area that might be an option. Also what about a rehab position. The RN's at hubby's rehab pretty much just do meds and check anything that requires a dressing, the LPNs and aids to the floor care and dressing changes. However the RNs in the outpatient area do all the phone trouble shooting with the discharged patients and the nursing reviews with the spouses, parents, pca etc. And provide lots and lots of advice |

Questions
Katia, do you have a BSN or advanced degree? I know a number of nurses in chairs...one is a staff nurse on a SCI unit (para) and several who are head nurses or clinical nurse specialist or nurse practitioners. One of the CNSs worked as a staff nurse on a rehab unit after her injury prior to graduate school. What is your specialty area? There are many jobs that experienced nurses can do that are not as physically demanding as bedside nursing, esp. if you have a degree. I would be glad to talk with you more about this.
