SCI Clinic in Miami ? Opinions on other options?

I've been looking for a total outpatient program for SCI for some time (including physiatrist, urologist, rehab nurses, intensive outpatient PT, etc). I live about three hours from UM/Jackson. I know that they've got a lot of expertise there. But, I can't seem to get the scoop on whether it's all tied together in a package that is accessible and works together. I've tried calling, but, as many of you know, Miami may be a wonderful place, but its not very user friendly if your calling cold.

At this point, I'm leaning toward a long trip to Birmingham, where I know they have all this expertise and tie it all together. Shepherd is another option, but they don't seem as interested in old guys (30 yrs post).

Anyone got an opinion for me? Other options?

Hi Dan. A sincere suggestion, check out: www.fhsportsmed.org/rehab/servies/services_neuro-rehab.com or Florida Hospital Center for Rehab. and Wellness. There is a Dr. Creamer, an SCI physician in Orlando there also, who is connected with them. An all around place as far as detailed rehab, etc. goes, I highly recommend this place!
