I have never heard of this being done. What is the purpose for doing this? It would be very difficult to properly position you and assure you can breathe OK in this position.

Dr. Young would be able to answer this question better than I. He has discussed it in various places on the forum in regard to tethering of the spinal cord.

I guess no one has heard of an MRI being done in the prone position...at least I haven't found anyone who has. Still looking...if anyone should have info (specific name/place) that does this procedure please let me know.
Thanks |

BSA in Amarillo Texas did an MRI in the prone position on my husband recently. His doctor, an SCI specialist, ordered the test. Just thought I'd post this information in case anyone else is having the trouble that we had finding a place that would do this in the prone position. My husband's SCI doctor is at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
