Southern California Neurosurgery and Orthopedics
Many people have asked me for referrals to spinal surgeons in Southern California. Here are some doctors that I know in the Department of Neurosurgery and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at University of Southern California (USC) and the Department of Neurosurgery at University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Martin Weiss, M.D. Professor & Chair, Department of Neurological Surgery University of Southern California http://www.usc.edu/health/uscp/dept/neurosurgery.html Note: Dr. Weiss is an excellent general neurosurgeon for both brain and spinal cord. If there is anything that he thinks he cannot handle, he can obviously refer you to the best in Southern California. Dr. Gordon Engler, M.D. Professor of Orthopedic and Neurological Surgery Director, Scoliosis and Spinal Surgery, LAC/USC Medical Center http://www.usc.edu/schools/medicine/...ty/Engler.html Note: He is very experienced in orthopedic procedures for scoliosis and degenerative spine injury, as well as instrumentation. Duncan Q. McBride, M.D. Associate Clinical Professor and Chief of Neurosurgery at Harbor General Medical Center. Dr. McBride concentrates his efforts in spinal surgery with a special interest in spinal fusion, degenerative traumatic disorders and tumors. Note: He trained at NYU/Bellevue Hospital. http://www.neurosurgery.medsch.ucla....y_McBride.html Ulrich Batzdorf, M.D. Professor and Director of Spinal Neurosurgery and Executive Director of the Comprehensive Spine Center at UCLA. Specializing in Spinal Neurosurgery, Dr. Batzdorf's primary focus is in the treatment of Arnold Chiari Malformation, syringomyelia, and spinal cord tumors. http://www.neurosurgery.medsch.ucla...._Batzdorf.html |
