compression at root
my last mri shows 15 mm perineural cyst close to right S1-2 exiting neural foramen,it has a high T2 and low T1 signal.
am 7 yrs post,c6/7 incompl, with no pain since a pt jumped on top of my bent legs and pushed my knees into my chest.Could that cause compression? my s1 motor/sensation/reflex status is not doing anthing drastically different, same impaired sensation in heels and toes have huge increase in leg spasticity, but it could be from downtime w p/sore,but have really bad lumbar pain since the stretching event what s/b my next plan of action to take? is it looking like a contusion trauma? tried,
I am not sure that I understand your description. Were you injured as a result of a person jumping on top of you? What level is your injury? A 15-mm perineural cyst is substantial and if it is compressing your S1 root, have your doctor(s) considered decompressing it? If not, why not? If the cyst is compressing on your roots, it should be removed. Wise. |

tried, I suggest that you ask for a referral to see a neurosurgeon concerning the perineural cyst that has shown up on your MRI.
Wise. |
