The current treatment for such tumors is to remove them surgically if they are placing pressure on crucial brain structures and then use a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy to slow down the growth. Unfortunately, none of these therapies are cures. Although a small percentage of the tumors may regress, the vast majority continue to grow. There is some controversy about using aggressive chemotherapy and radiation therapies because they may cause more brain damage and reduce the quality of life for the patients. I am really sorry. Wise.
