I know others have surely thought of this before, but Flynt was at one time VERY wealthy and SCI.

In the past he has flown to Los Vegas on his personal jet to gamble with a 1 million dollar pot.

Has anyone ever tried to contact him for SCI funding? Of course, he may not give a crap.

As Dr. Young has frequently pointed out, the sooner we can get large scale funding, the sooner we "walk".

Bill Maher in his Larry King interview mentioned that he always reads Larry Flynt's political articles.

I used to work for Larry Flynt as a budget Analyst 1983-1984, on the 33rd floor of the twin towers in Century City (Los Angeles county). He won't know me from anyone else, but I'm not sure how much he would be into SCI Cure. He seems very well adjusted with a gold-plated wheelchair and plenty of help. However it definitely wouldn't hurt trying to contact him. Someone?

You are right! I've read that Flynt gives some money to sci charities & but he admitted once he has no hope for recovery

But he keeps low profile about his charitable donations!

larry flynt had his nerves surgically severed in late 1983 after suffering with numbing neurogenic pain for 5 years. He didn't go back to work until 1983 when his pain stopped. As a matter of fact, he spent those first 5 years after his sci fogged on legal and illegal medications, and never even left his beverly hills home. His faithful wife stayed with him and in the end died of an aids related illness from sharing needles during her husband's 5 years of misery.
The only cure with sci worth mentioning is if one has crippling neurogenic pain, to get the nerves surgically cut. it worked for Flynt, George Wallace, and I'm sure quite a few others with less famous pedigree. SCI is soo devastating that the only relief available is to sever the useless spinal cord nerves.
