Question Question on cad

Hello all, Im about to order my tr3 and have a question on my cad. The first one ti sent didnt show the +1 in seat depth (Even though I have frog legs) so I explained to dme and asked for another drawing. Now it just shows 17" with no indication of +1. Im also getting a solid seat pan so I dont know if that matters but normally it would show upholstery 16" and then another line that shows 17" correct? I Want 16+1. Please look and tell me what you think

I, too, would expect to see a separate dimension for the upholstery like this 16+1 from CC CAD Repository:

Maybe they don't show upholstery because you are getting a solid seat pan, which is installed in their customization shop, not in their standard assembly line. (My solid seat pan added a week to the production schedule because it's done that way.)

I'd question it more until you're comfortable you're getting what you ordered.

Frog Leg forks do not always constitute +1" in the frame; I learned this when ordering mine, as I too expected it to be there from what I read here. Inquiring further with TiLite they felt my chair dimensions did not require it, so I had to request it, as seen above.

I have a TR3 as well and added extra frame from the start, so I don't know if they would have if I didn't, but I doubt it.

my cad for a TR3 shows "upholestry" for the G2 seat pan plus the added frame length. It would have to show the front edge of the seat pan to show the dimension for FSH.

That looks like a 17" seat depth without the extra inch. The bend looks like it starts right after the seat pan, but looking closely, there might be an extra 1/2 inch. You definitely need to make sure that TiLite is on the same page you are with the specs--especially since you selected a solid seat and FrogLegs forks. You could find yourself feeling l "perched on the front of the chair" with limited ability to get your feet back on the footrest. 559 rear wheels, a 4.0" COG, a seat pan an inch longer than you wanted, and FrogLegs forks, and you need to make sure you reverse your casters if you lean forward onto the footrest.

If they build it like you want, it should be pretty good configuration. Right now, hover, it doesn't look that way.

I'm going through my second build on my ZR2, and on both occasions I've requested a CAD drawing, and never received it for either one. I'm glad to see you had better luck getting yours through your DME.
The DME better hope it's right this time. If not, I won't be paying anything out of pocket.
Good luck to you.

Alright sounds like i definitely need to confirm with ti before placing order.

SCI, When u say seems like a pretty good configuration the way i want it, is there something you see i should change? The reason i went with aggressive cog is because i would like the rounded rear frame. My current a4 is much less. But i figure at 4 i could always move back some if needed.

Thanks for the input guys.

Crappler, as far as the cad if it wasnt for the forums i wouldve never known. Im glad i asked though otherwise i probably would have a problem as u can see. i too wouldnt accept what they give u if you asked for for a drawing, they refused, and then got it wrong!
