10:00 pm Friday night, the upper rt quadrant off my stomach just under rib started hurting badly. Felt like a really bad cramp or side hitch that just won't stop. Was hoping it was just a big gas bubble but nothing has happened. Then fever started. It was 101 when I went to sleep last night. Advil seems to be keeping that & headache somewhat in check. And my right ear feels like I have an earplug in it. Any ideas at all as to what is going on and what I need to do?

Do you have a spinal cord injury or other disability (can't tell from your profile).
The symptoms you state are consistent with a gall bladder attack. I hope you have already gone to the ER, as the fever would indicate an acute infection associated with this. You don't get a fever from a muscle pull. I have seen burst and necrotic gall bladders in people with SCI. You need to take this seriously and get help right away. (moved to Care forum) (KLD) |
