SCI for 5 years tomorrow...

5 years ago today was my last day at work. Pretty unremarkable day so I don’t really remember much about it. Tomorrow morning will be 5 years since I last walked (unassisted) & the wide awake nightmare began. There are no words to explain how thankful I am for all the support I’ve received since. It’s the reason I’m still here. MADD Love to all of you!! 5 years later I’m not weak & afraid anymore. In fact, I feel like a fucking BEAST again!!! THANK YOU TO MY PROJECT WALK FAMILY!!! I FARGING LOVE YOU!!! August 8th is not a sad day for me anymore, it’s just my new birthday. SO… HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! CHEERS!!! >

don't know what to say but congrats my 3 year was in july. for me it is a celebration of life that was given back to me.

From looking at your hard hat I would assume your a Union Iron Worker and not being nosey but did you fall in the hole? As the old hands I know called it?

I just had my ten year anniversary this April

Nevada: Yep you got it. Fortunately for me though it was just an auto accident on the way to work. If I would have bottomed out on the jobsite I probably wouldn’t be here. I believe I miss the job more than anything too… DAMN!

Haha! Funny because I wouldn’t mind living in upstate NY. I’d have to say as far as California goes Northern California is my preference. Down here you can chew the air most days!
