tomarrow getting on a horse

first time since the day before my accident.
I just learned today we are going, because roomie has his parents visiting from pennsylvania.

She gave me a late birthday card with money in it. I kinda feel funny about that, because I gave her a dulcimer for christmas, and I hope she didnt feel she needed to repay me. we stay at their house when we visit pa, and they have friends who I know recently took up dulcimer. anyway, I feel funny about getting money for my birthday since we have never acknowledged birthdays to each other before and it is unexpected. We had a strange strained sort of relationship in the past, not sure why, some silly missunderstanding when everything was crazy. any way, Im getting on a horse tomarrow, likely an ancient steed, who is past retirement, but cool enough for me who just wanted to feed one a carrot and chat a little.

Enjoy that steed no matter how old and sweet it may be. Sometimes feeding a carrot is just what the soul needs.

Horses are magical creatures !

My reflexologist was just telling me about her grandson who has some form of ADD or some such thing and they have him enrolled in a horse program designed for such children near where we live that has been a god send for him - she says its nothing short of a miracle the things it's taught him !!

Have fun horsing around jody !!

Even us old steeds can be fun to ride.

Jody, that sounds awesome. I understand the discomfort in the "gift" but just do it and enjoy every minute.
