my bro died of esophageal cancer at age 35, neither a drinker or smoker, ditto my cousin (breast) and my best friend, kimberly (paralyzed, bladder cancer, age 40). these are just 3 that i have gone thru, thus my fear. i just want to know and this unknown pain is really unbearable on top of the central pain.

When I had the prolapse, it literally felt like I had a porcupine inside of my bladder that was constantly moving around.

Does that feeling resonate with you? It can't be cancer - it won't be. Make it a mantra.

Cass-I hate that you have to wait until the 18th. Please try not to think the worst. Easier said than done.

you know cass, lynnifer may have a point. Ive felt something slip lately, and pain and pressure in an odd way. It is more like really bad cramps in the back though. It isnt unbearable pain, but it does aggravate the central pain some.
My relatives did not have unbearable pain until the chemo. one friend with cancer learned on a pap smear, as well as my sisters having abnormal pap smears.

none of my family had unbearable pain before they started the chemo.
....... I did when my ovary twisted. I was scared It was cancer then too. the thing got as big as a volly ball and twisted over, and it still took months too for them to figure it out. this pain was very specific, and you could feel the mass. it felt like a stitch in the side but also like something inside was hooked over my ribs or my hip. that pain is the ten on my pain scale. It cause me to writhe and fold up like a lawn chair eventually, but until then it was nagging, and sometimes sharp.

I get a pelvic ultrasound and bladder/kidney ultrasound once a year, that test can actually see a lot, anything from misplaced parts, to fibroid tumors, to ovarian cysts.

anyway cass, Im trying to say I really get why you are afraid, you arn't being silly at all, but it can be many other things causing your pain, and probably is. it may or may not take a few tries to figure it out though. is it the pain that is unbearable or the pain making the fear unbearable? either way, girl you are in my silly little prayers, and Im sending you brave cosmic hugs while you figure this out.

Im sorry for what you are going through.
