Single cup coffee solution

For my afternoon cup of joe I use a starbucks via and since I have one of those insta-hot things it takes basically 30 seconds to make. They are really tasty and do the trick.

I was browsing amazon and I ran across these Keurig K-Cup things, there are a lot of different versions but here is an example: http://www.amazon.com/Keurig-K-Cup-H...4010785&sr=8-1

Anyone used these K-cups? Anyone used one who has also used the vias? If the answer to either of those questions is yes could you share your opinion. If it matters I drink medium roast coffee (my favorite is dunkin donuts original) with two creams and three sugars.

I used a Keurig for years. They make good coffee, but make a lot of plastic waste for the environment and also cost more per cup by far than just using ground coffee from a bag. The cups are made in a whole range of brew strengths, including one called Donut House coffee, which is probably closest to Dunkie Donuts blend. I think the K cups makes better coffee than the via's, which is just really expensive instant coffee instead of being brewed. I had the one called "Special Edition" which worked perfectly for years and is still working at my friends house.

I love my Keurig. I just bought the office size that doesn't hold all the extra water. I still have my regular Keurig in storage. The taste just isn't the same as a regular coffee maker or to me it isnt.

My favorite coffee is Green Mountain's Nantucket Blend.

We have several threads here on different coffees.

Vias are pretty good for instant. I did find this http://www.amazon.com/Coffee-People-...f=pd_sim_gro_3 which looks like what you are talking about.

Thanks!

Check out my families coffee plantation web site mypapascoffee.com . My sister imports it from my parents farm in Nicaragua. Its arabica beans. The coffee is really good and really strong for those of you who like it..

I use Starbucks VIA sometimes, and I'm not a fan of their regular [hot] brewed coffee in the shops (love their lattes, iced coffee, frappucinos). I like VIA better for iced coffee than hot. I also like a medium roast and milk (or cream) and sugar.

I own and really like a Keurig, this one: Keurig B70.

I do use K-Cups, and I like the Caribou Breakfast Blend, or if I want a stronger cup, Donut Shop is good. But I really like Dunkin Donuts coffee, so I use a cheaper, more eco-friendly alternative to K-Cups often: the ekobrew, here on Amazon. You can make your coffee stronger or weaker and can use whatever coffee you like. They have Dunkin Donuts K-Cups, but I'm not crazy about them.

I like my Kuerig for tea and cocoa, too.

We've had the Keurig for about nine months and I love it. I normally only drink one cup of coffee a day (and mys husband might have one cup on the weekends...he's tried to cut out the caffeine since his accident), so it was a good solution for us. You can get the K-cups for pretty cheap at Costco (if you want to get 80 of the same flavor), or you can wait for Macy's or Kohl's to send out their 20% off everything coupons, which makes it about $8 for a box of 18 cups. I've enjoyed trying different flavors...the Keurig comes with a sampler, so you can try out a few different coffees before buying any.

The reusable cup is definitely a good idea. We have two so there's always a clean one ready to go.
