I have to ask this as a PR student, was the story always you and then you included Project Walk, or was this idea pitched to you?

(In other words, with no snarkiness intended, SOMEONE was public relations savvy to put all this together - if you're a writer, this could be all you.)

I must say, Rachelle, you freakin' ROCK! You're certainly NOT a paralyzed bride, but rather a bride whose body has some paralysis.

To my mind, it's essential to make the leap from the dysfunction of "poor me" and "why me?" to the empowering functionality of "why not me?" in regards to one's expectations of what life offers after SCI.

You have made this transition as rapidly, if not the most rapidly, of anyone I have ever encountered.

Thank you for being an advocate who raises public awareness that the essential part of living a life as a person with a disability is being a person who continues to anticipate living a rewarding life.
