I have no idea (yes on POA and even if not, he signed a waiver for me to have access to 100% of his files there anyway). They are being a royal pain in the butt. But two can play THAT game lol....

Oh my ami, I am so sorry what you are going through. I know you're doing the best you can. You must be emotionally exhausted. I don't really have much to offer in terms of advice except that I hope you can resolve this with as little stress as possible, if that's possible.
And my opinion, fwiw, it definitely is not your fault. As far as I'm concerned you were caught between a rock and hard place. Chad knew the risk he was taking and even though you knew it wasn't in his best interest to stay on it you gave him the choice and the "control" to decide for himself. Trust me when I say by forcing him into bed could have done much more harm. No one wants control of their lives taken from them. Your a good wife

that sucks even if it is medically necessary it is not covered? do you have a secondary insurance? they should cover the co insurance and copay. maybe call the ambulance company and see if they can take smaller payments for it. also i do know that the hospital can make payment arrangements for you too so you can pay it in smaller portions. just putting things out there if you can't afford it you can't. hoping for the best anyway!!

what about calling one of his other doctors?

VICTORY IS MINE lol....

I drove up there with a photo in hand, all the documentation of what home health care service to call (a specialized wound care service affiliated with a nearby reputable hospital he has gone to before), and asked the nurse to give it to the doctor. She said she would. I then said I'd wait until she saw it so that she could just talk to me instead of returning my phone call. She said it would be a really long wait. I said "I've got all day" and sat down.

Five minutes later .... I was called back, had a good discussion and she called in the orders. Viola! Persistence pays.

Awesome Ami! Chad is lucky to have such an advocate!

Great job!!! Pity that it sometimes takes this kind of action to get the attention you need and deserve from a doctor and his staff.

All the best,
GJ

Awesome....and then I bet you sat so you could see the receptionist, read nothing and just cast an icy stare?

Way to get'r done! Too bad you can't tell the sore the same thing and have IT back down.

I actually took a book with me, and started to read it, which signaled to them that I really was prepared to sit there all damn day if needed!
