Dear Dr.Huang,
I'm a 15 year old girl living in Pennsylvania. I was in a car accident at the age of 6, and my injury level is a C4/5 . I read about the amazing, inspiring and wonderful work you are performing on Spinal Cord Injury patients. I sent you an e-mail and a written letter one month ago and you never responded.I'm anxiously awaiting an answer from you! I believe that you are a true hero and keep up the remarkable work. I cannot wait to hear from you!
With Love and Gratitude, ~Jessica Bair~

Dear Dr. Huang,

Reading about your work is the most exciting news we have encountered since our son's injury. Matt just turned 19. He was an honor student and varsity athlete before his C5-C6 injury. Daily he struggles valiantly with neurogenic pain, a sensation that a torch is being held to his back. Yet he keeps his hope and sense of humor. He plans to attend college as soon as possible and is deeply committed to intensive rehab. The trainers have noticed "firing" of muscle groups in Matt's legs, but not voluntary lower extremity movement. He has Right bicep flexion and the trainers felt a flicker of triceps response last week. Please add us to your growing list of potential candidates. We will gladly send MRI's and any other medical records you require.

We have been praying for a miracle, even a small return of function and independence. "Two levels" of improvement would mean a great deal to Matt. We dream that someday he will move an arm or use a hand.

Our passports are updated and we will go to the PRC embasssy to get VISA's if you deem him a good candidate and provide us with a time in your busy schedule.

God bless you and thank you for your compassionate life work on behalf of spinal cord injured individuals around the world.

Susan Wild, RN
