Jay J3 back

I want to swap out the back on my Tilite ZRA to a J3 back. I have never made any mods to my chair other than changing out the casters. My concern is the bar on the back of my ZRA, will this prevent me from installing a J3 back or otherwise be a problem?

Thanks!

I have a J3. The mounting hardware is extremely adjustable - you should have no trouble getting the shell to clear the stabilizer bar. The only downside might be losing some seat depth because the back sits further forward than standard upholstery.

It should work but their is a possibility that you might loose a couple inches on seat depth because the bar is not deep enough to let the back go further back. If this makes sense. I had my seat bar depth made at 4 1/2" so my ADI back rest would work.

Ditto whats been said. I have a J3 and a 4" bar, so I didn't lose any seat depth. The mounting hardware is super versatile so you won't have issues putting it on, just might lose seat depth.

Also note that this will change your COG because you will be sitting forward more. You might have to adjust your rear wheels accordingly, if possible.

Ah. Interesting! It looks like I'm finally going to have to figure out how to adjust things on my chair. It's overdue anyway. Thanks for the feedback.
