They say time heals all, but it doesn't mean we stop missing people.

Stay strong cass. I miss my lil sister Tracy, who was murdered on 5-23-1989 in Las Vegas. I talk with the detectives every month, and they're retesting some DNA they recently discovered in their evidence locker gathered at the crime scene. They said it's still viable. Thanks to a bill passed by Congress a few years ago, they now have the funds for this type of testing. They stuck her case in the Cold Case files after just a couple of years, there are so many murders in that town that go unsolved, but I got them to reopen the case about a decade ago.

Time lessens the pain, the memories grow more fond, but the hole in our soul is forever.

thank you. time doesn't heal, it leaves scars. in light of betheny's situation, i hesitated even posting. but then i remembered a line from a quindlan book: "everybody has something." and i just wanted to remember doug. i have the last pic ever taken of us. bad pic but never scanned. i'll try to get it scanned.

rdf, sent you a PM.

thank you for everything, cc.
