Sportaid only offers black anodized aluminum as standard...
When Round Betty contact me, they ask me how i would like the wheel, i told them orange spokes, silver hub and silver pushrim, i don`t know if is std or an option, but imo offer a wheel with a black pushrim is something stupid, because you will see scratches from milles.

The wheels came with the ceramic bearings and orange bolts for fix pushrims( but that`s an option)

The true is that you don`t need any special bearings for rear wheels because they go at very low revolutions, but if you like good stuff just go for this ceramic, they are ABEC5 and you`ve got 8 for the same price.

IMHO the only advantage of using ceramic bearings in a wheelchair is they will never corrode. They still get dirty (like all bearings) and need periodic cleaning.

TotoL1, that set of bearings is not the right size for rear wheels, you need 1/2" x 1 1/8" x 5/16" bearings. I agree that they are not necessary.

I ordered a set about 2 months ago. The first set came with black spokes and black hubs. I wanted silver hubs so they went back. It's been over 5 weeks and I still don't have rims yet. I hope they are worth the wait.

I sent mine back longer than that. They may be slow right now, but their customer service is great. It'll be worth the wait.

About their customer service, i don`t know how is it and i`m not really interesting in that, because that is not my problem, that is Round Betty problem, if you want to sell wheels, you need two things: good wheels and good customer service.

I think they are re-designing the wheel so that may be why it is taking extra time.

You may want to check with the dealer you purchased them from to see when they actually placed the order. It should not take that long for that wheel color/combo. That order would ship in about a week from us. Unless there are parts on back-order.
