Tires

My tires I have now say 24x1.3/8. They are grey and I was wanting to go with a Schwalbe 24x1 evolution. Will I have any issues since they are narrower? It is for an iGlide wheel.

You'll need 24x1" tubes, but they'll work fine on the wheels.

I think you will set a little lower in the back.

I was going to change the tubes also, these iGlide wheels look a little wider. I was just making sure the tire will seat to the wheel ok. I will measure when I get the old tires off.

You'll love the Schwalbe's when they are fully inflated to 145psi. They'll work with the right tubes.

I would get something cheap because tires don't last long on an iglide. I have not noticed any difference when I try different tires as far as how they push when turned on. A high performance tire will push easier when its cut off and may increase battery life but its not worth the extra cost to me.

I put the Schwalbe's on my chair that had 24x 13/8 tires and found that if I put mor than 80 psi in them I blow them off the rims. Really loud when that tube explodes at 90 psi. They are also a little difficult to seat all the way around. I've learned to put in a little air, check to see the bead didn't sneak out. Little more air check again. etc until I get them filled. Then roll around in them a bit and check them again.
I don't know if you will have this, but I only found Presta tubes for them. I put small washers on the stems because I had Schrader valves on the old tires. The washers keep to tube from pinching on the rim hole.
I'm also not that impressed with the tires. They are pretty much worn out in less than 6 months. When these are gone, I'll go back to Kendra knobbies.

Thats what I was afraid of. I mainly just want to get a black set of tires. I guess I will keep looking. Schwalbe makes their Downtown tire but it is grey in the 24x1 3/8.

Thanks for the pic. I will call them to make sure. On their site it says the 24x1 is grey/black and their 24x1 3/8 is grey.
