Oh $hit
I was having a great morning.....NOT...my daughter got on the school bus and forgot her project for school. So I jumped in the truck and took her project to school for her and came back home to get ready for my 10am appointment with my Attorney (whole different story there). I head out to the truck, go to transfer, I felt my chair move, reached for my steering wheel but it was too late, my ass was on the asphalt. Slammed down on my shoulder, but no serious injuries. I'm thinking, I can't believe I was that stupid to put my brakes on.........Well come to find out the cable on my D's Locks broke inside and the piston disengage as I transferred.
Called Steve at Hands on Concepts and have the new cable on the way. Steve is one of the most genuine coolest people you'll ever talk to. I literally spent almost 30 minutes talking with him. Really cool dude.

Glad you're OK. Hate to say it but the coupling of the cable into the piston housing does not inspire confidence. It's good that you're getting a replacement, but it would be even better if the design was improved.

Ouch. Not cool. Look at the way Surelock couples the cables to both the piston and the lever. I think they have a sturdier design. One the collars around the cable that couples it into the D's piston on my Mg is cracked and will fail, eventually, too. Yes, Steve is a helpful and knowledgable guy! (On a side note: I am really hoping his relationship with Marvelo works turns out some upgrades and fixes for the M1. He's in a good position to save that company, IMO, by continuing the original founder's history of innovation.)
