Vacation in China

I was considering traveling to China. Has anyone on this forum ever traveled there for a vacation? I am concerned about a 12 + hour flight. If you require an asile chair to board the plane, what do you do when it comes time to use the bathroom? Do you just use a foley for the trip or is the bathroom big enough on the plane that a asile chair can get to it?

6GC,

I've been to China, stayed in Hong Kong and Kunming.
The flights were 14 there, 15 back.
I used a condom cath.
Plane wasn't big enough for a wheelchair.

Do you want to go to specific places?

I flew from Denver to Taiwan last fall.

The plane has an onboard wheelchair, pretty much the same as (but flimsier) than the aisle chair. On many widebodies (2 aisle aircraft, usually used for trans-pacific flights), the OBWC will fit into the lav (with some creative jockeying). The whole thing is a big production, but can be done. It's also good for the flight attendants to use their OBWC training occasionally :-).
