Half Marathon ( 21km, 13milles) in a daily wheelchair
Today was a great day for me, I did the half marathon of my city in my dailychair, I'm not sure of the time I did because I was so tired when i arrived and I didn`t remember watching the clock, but about 1h: 50min, tomorrow I will look in the official website to see the times and in what position I was.
It was incredible the support of the fans with continuous cheers. I also had an accident on the 6 km of the marathon, in a small decrease, was focused on going forward people because i was faster in the downhill and in a moment that i took my eyes off the ground from the road one of my casters crash with a little stone, you can see what did to my caster, of course I went flying, and scratch a bit my frame and my knees but I quickly got up and jump to my chair and went on again. I post some pics of my accident and a video that recorded my wife. Tomorrow I will put pictures and videos official proof that I can download from the official website. A pleasant experience, and much more knowing that i won a lot people. video Last edited by totoL1; 10-20-2010 at 05:42 AM. |

The general rule is that if you don't bleed at some point in a race, you're not trying hard enough.....ha....
Good for you, congrats! |
