Come deer hunting in Virginia!

To all of you hunters out there.... Our Virginia Wheelin' Sportsmen program currently has 14 exciting deer hunts scheduled for this fall in all parts of Virginia. Our events are free and open to anyone with a disability. Hunters are responsible for all licenses, travel, and lodging.

If you have a disability and would like to apply for one, or more, of these hunts, please download the attached VAWS Fall 2010 Newsletter.

I hope to see you in the woods.

Thanks for the link, looks like you guys have a lot of hunts going on this year.

Any idea what the cost of a hunting license is for an out-of-stater.

Can I bring an AB family member to hunt as well?

Hey funk. Deel gave the link for all license info. There are some hunters where the AB helper can hunt also, wish there were more. Shoot me a PM if you want any additional details.

Deel, still no word from Ricky although the state forest says it's a go. I just need to get the call or email reply from him to get it set up.

Are talking about this? If so, I haven't made one in a couple of years. I stopped using it, although it worked great, because I was able to hold my gun steady enough in the new gun rest. I don't make them to sell because the liability risk would be through the roof. I'll think about your situation and get back to you.

Deel, are you shooting a rifle or a shotgun, like a .410? When I wingshoot or shoot skeet, I do this. Not sure how good your grip is, but tilt your chair back a bit to help maintain your balance.

You're shooting skwerls with a .12 ga? I don't need to fix you a bite-trigger, I need to change the way you hunt. You will ruin them shooting them with that not to mention the 12 ga combined with the bite trigger in your mouth, might just rock your world!

Do you have a .22 semi or a .17? I'm sure I can get you set up with your gun rest and tilt on your chair to shoot them with a small caliber rifle as opposed to shredding them with the .12 ga. If I ever have time to get out shooting anytime soon, I'll try a couple different things.
