Anna -- congratulations on the 2-year mark! My son just passed the three year mark. We celebrate each year -- kind of a kudos to him for perservering, working hard and living life to the fullest. I think every day should be embraced and celebrated. I agree that the after about a 1.5-2 years is the over the hump point and things get easier.
Bravo to you!

Just speaking from my experience and with talking to the people on this site... most find themselves having to "try" very hard at one time or another after an SCI. So , I think mv is grossly mistaken in his statistics! Becky

Thanks everyone for your encouragements!! I think I do agree with those of you who say it's good to acknowledge everything you've overcome since your injury. Don't get me wrong I am very great full to be alive and want to keep overcoming life's challenges. I just miss doing the things I used to do. There is not a day that goes by that I wish I could just wake up and start walking again.
Tonight I went out with my pt who is also a good friend. I got some pushing in and then we went out for ice cream. |

Then don't fucking read this thread! Not a difficult solution. She didn't say she was doing cartwheels and throwing a goddamn party, she merely expressed that the two-year mark had come and she's still alive and kicking it, now if only her leg could reach Denmark and your ass.
