Anyone using a leg bag opener device?

I'm getting a new chair and need some kind of a leg bag opener. On my current chair I have an electric leg bag opener from http://www.rdequipment.com/
which gets the job done, but I'm looking for alternatives. Something that doesn't feed from the wheelchair battery would be a plus. If anyone reading this is using something to help them empty their bag I'd like to know what it is and how they like it. Thanks.

I have one. Works as advertised. The plastic c clip on mine broke so I just let it hang. stays with washer.

I have one of these, mounted on my manual chair. It works well, is a lot less expensive than an electric one!

Thanks, I just ordered one! I had seen it before on the Internet, but I didn't know anyone who actually had one who I could ask about it. I just got off the phone with Ron, the owner, and he sounds like a really nice guy with great customer service.

I hope it works out as well for me as it does for you guys. Thanks again!

I tak off the rugular blue plastic twist emptier on bag and then put catheter tubing on the bottom of the legbag and use a plastic clamp on the tubing that you flip open and closed when you want to empty it..

update

I tried it for the first time today and I like it. I have it connected like CowboyCrip has his and it works fine. I love the simplicity of it.

Initially I thought the thinner black hose that connects to the plastic coupler/reducer and runs through the opener might kink between the coupler and the opener, but that hasn't happened. The only criticism I have is that I wish the spring could be replaced with a much stronger one so that it would pinch shut a thicker walled rubber hose. That way you're pretty much guaranteed it would never kink.

or leak. be sure to clean the opener every so often or it won't spring shut all the way. peed all over the floor of red robin once due to that particular operator error

I have the same wish DoingTime. (are you reading jb3 people?) I use clear Uri-drain tubing. I wish the jb3 was strong enough to pinch that. I find the clear tubing more discrete. Anyway. glad you are happy. Drink until your hearts content! (water that is... your bladder will be very happy.

I have a jg-3 opener also. Mine is very difficult to pull.
I wish they would have used a conventional cable like a bike brake cable.

It is so cheaply made. Just a weak plastic tube with fishing line to operate the piston.

I just got a GO-PEE Electric leg bag emptier. $199

I think you can adjust the required tension req. by turning the silver knob atop the plunger part. Alsoi make sure no kinks or sharp turns in cable.
