I guess i was not the only person to cry tears when i heard Mark was in the hospital this last time on deaths door knocking. Pfft, like someone else said here my head is spinning from anger.

Lord its insane how much effort when into this charade for so long. The cast of characters ect...its boggling my mind at this point.

I know how harried some caregivers can find their lives. Multiplied to the degree of Annie's and I don't see Sister Teresa holding up to the schedule.
You forgot Marks younger brother which i was told in chat has down syndrome....its quite the sob story isnt it.

I've been a registered member here for many years but rarely post. I've been mostly on NM and PQ and have thousands of posts at each.

Sadly we've gone through similar deceptions MANY times in the past and have become a bit paranoid about it. Every new person gets raked over the coals if there's even a hint of fishiness in their story.

I can understand your anguish and anger because I invested a lot of time in the Jon/Sisyphus character and felt really betrayed when he was outed. I had honestly come to like him and believed his story right up to the end.

I don't understand what drives a person to do these things but I wish one of them would just come clean. That'll likely never happen though.

I recall a quote from George Costanza to Jerry Seinfeld: "Remember, Jerry, it isn't a lie if you believe it".

Yeah, I'd decided I was being too easily annoyed until I saw it wasn't just me. It's the bludgeoning thing that is the problem-different strokes, sure, but sheeesh!

What I find very strange about these folks is their use of the same tactics/stories over & over again. Something is usually a tad different, but the dramas unfold & reinforcement posters appear in the same manner every time. One has to wonder about that aspect of the personalities, because they generally appear fairly intelligent otherwise.

Very weird personality disorder, to say the least...

Beth, I think the big flame war was at NM. He was outed there and drifted to cc towards the end. Myself and Kap, CLC and Jack all chatted with him a little in the old infoPop room in 04 or 05. Thought you were there as well. Last tale I heard was he was in England and had just sent for some young girlfriend to move in with him. I also remember tbird lex askin what the hell he was doing there...Lol

Just as the article about Munchausen says, when the drama starts piling on, get suspicious. I mean we all have bad years, I've had some doozies lately. But if your sib's in ICU, you're debating whether to pull the plug, other family coming from out of town-do you really have time to update CC? I'd be crashed on the couch in the ICU waiting room!

Everybody that got sucked in, esp. Eileen and Jody, pls don't let it hurt you too bad. You're just kind hearted, generous women. There is certainly no shame in that! And we all bite eventually, given enough internet time. It's the law of averages.

Fakers-There IS shame in your game. Much shame. Shame on you.

Who was Sysiphus, someone help me out? Rings a bell, but i can't find posts. I suspect I know who it was.

Good work, Steven, chick and scorp.

LOL about the Google Queen. It makes you feel less enlightened or educated than bludgeoned, doesn't it? My radar's been going off too!

I just feel gullible I guess, I did shed a couple tears, but like has been said, this is the internet and it happens. though damn, markpals, he was kind of a hero to me. him and his one working eye. like braveheart peeking out of a cacoon. I got a poke of suspicion when andes and another family member came on to defend mark when fuentesjps insulted him in some thread, wondered how they got on so fast if mark could not speak and only had the one eye working. I waved it away, it seemed silly of me.

Did Jon/Sysiphus live on the Isle of Mann? Real high quad, "died" some time ago? A friend was really invested in that guy if it's the same one. He was quite worried when he disappeared-and my friend is quite a cynic, too. If so, really odd that Jon's IP is in Montana!
