I would suggest staying with IE 7. Firefox is my browser of choice.

Some earlier threads and member feedback using Internet Explorer 8.

1. Won't retain passwords

2. IE 8 and DNS

Ah so. I used trashed Vista32 and 64 about 2 years ago. 8 wasn't out yet. Decided I would not use it, just like 98 and ME. Truth be told, decided THEN to walk away from MS except for gaming on XP. Years and years of work wasted on other people and MS products. I reluctantly got on the 7 wagon last year, just so I could continue to help the hapless, lol.

Bad thing about MS is(one of many) if you choose to run an out-of-date browser, you are ASKING for trouble. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't, lol.

I suggest moving BACK to xp or move to Linux, it's free. If you want to blow money or are a windoze gamer, go 7. Sorry about the bad call to upgrade, I unwisely offered advice I had not personally tried.

Remeber, if you can't stay current in windows, you are making yourself available for MORE vulnerability.

First thing I'd suggest is upgrading to Windows 7. Works much better than Vista. I've used IE8 for quite a while and have never had a problem. Upgrading shouldn't be an issue.
