Full size 4x4 van with w/c lift?
Can this be done? Just tossing around this idea of finding a fullsize diesel van, kinda for fun. Would a 4x4 sit up to high for a regular lift? Or are all lifts adjustable to a point?

I met a guy at Nissan Pavilion during a Buffett concert who had a Ford E350 4x4 with a lift out the side door. He had a big lift on the van itself, and 33" tires. The van was badass and also had a flat screen TV. The guy was obviously loaded, said everything cost him $70k to do to make it accessible and for the lift. He also had one of the IBot wheelchairs. I wish I had taken pic's of the van. But to answer your question, YES it can be done, but it's pricey.

I've seen the sprinters, but I don't want/like the height of the body. Basically looking at something like a e350 with 285 tires. Right now I'm just brainstorming ideas. That and to make mother happy. She doesn't like the truck I drive now and having to transfer in/out of it.... lol

Shouldn't be an issue. I suggest contacting a wheelchair conversion company or read the lift spec sheets from Braun or similar manufacture.

A quad friend of mine has one of these with a lift. The Sportsmobile is based in a Quigley. |

I've looked into this and 4x4 vans are way expensive. Quigley does all the Ford conversions and it adds 10 to 15 thousand to the price of the van. I've been thinking of buying a diesel E250 and just getting a 6" lift, bigger tires, and a winch. Check out these websites.
