You got me wondering if something like this would work for you (I haven't looked into the Hoyer lift scales) but this is a fraction of the cost...

I hope this helps

That just might work if I can hang the four points of the sling on that hook. Thanks.

That should work. If you're using a Hoyer-type lift, you can unbolt the spreader bar from the boom. Drill holes at each ends of a couple pieces of 2x4x1/8" steel. Run a bolt through one piece, through the hole at the top of the spreader bar, then the other piece, and fasten it with a nut. Run a bolt through the free ends of the pieces and fasten it. Now the hook of the scales can catch the top bolt. The loop at the top of the scales should connect to the Hoyer boom using another bolt.
That's something like what I did when I first found the set of scales on eBay.

I use a similar scale and hang it from the ceiling and then hang the lift from the scale, I just have to subtract the weight of the scale from the weight.

I have a digital scale kinda like the one picture earlier. It is attached to a 6:1 pulley that is fastened to floor joice in basement. I have two straps that go to front and rear of chair. I pull myself up to weigh. Once off the ground I hook another strap to top of scale and floor joice to get an accurate weight. If I did not do that my weight is about 20-25 lbs less because of the force I pull down at to lift myself off the ground. Then I minus 35 lbs for chair and cushion. I have about 35.00 into it.

Thank you for asking. Well I bought the digital scale however I haven't yet been able to use it. My Hoyer lift does not lift high enough to accommodate the scale, sling, and myself from the height of the wheelchair.

Since then I had a procedure done at the hospital and got weighed there. I need to somehow pack on a few pounds without it going to my gut.

I recently bought that digital scale and found it was a bit too long so my husband replaced the rings/hooks that are on it with smaller hooks/rings - now I have to always hooked up...makes getting weighed much less of an ordeal.

That's good to hear you got weighed and hope you can use the scale. I'm in the same dilemma (underlined section).
