The latest in ECU technology is available and it is called Q-Controls. I have seen first hand how it has helped many in a situation similar to yours. Giving someone the independence to perform simple tasks such as turning on and off lights, operating tv's and stereos, calling a nurse, etc. is very powerful. The rehab process can be very long and at times frustrating but it is not the end. The emotional state of not only the user of an ECU but also that of everybody around him or her is elevated by the implementaion of this type of device. If you are interested in finding a local vendor who could show you a system like this I would be happy to help. I can be reached at bginocchetti@pridemobility.com. Good luck and God bless!
