Putting photos into carecure posts

How does one take images from web sites and put them into e-mails or carecure posts? I'm rather dense with this stuff. Thanx

Hi Wesley,

When you click on the reply button, there is a paperclip icon for attaching files from your computer. Just browse through your stuff, find the one you want and click ok. If you want to post an image from the web, hit the picture icon and paste the URL (http://somewebsite.com/picture.jpg) into the box, give it a name, and press ok.

wesley,

If you have a .jpg picture, you can just attach it to a post. It will automatically display with your posting. Please, if possible, use a program like Adobe Photoshop or another program to reduce the size of the picture first and save it for "web". That is because the resolution of most camera pictures is too high and you end up showing a huge picture that will distort the web page. It will also force people to download a large file when they look at the posting. I recommend saving the picture for web and have no more than 600x800. Many picture programs will allow you to save digital pictures for web. Note that the site will only display pictures that are .gif or .jpg in format. It will not display .tff or other formats. Note also that this site allows you to only attach one file per post and this is a problem for multiple pictures.

An alternative to attaching a picture file to your post is to use the IMG command. If you have the picture loaded on another web site, you can use the IMG command to load that picture onto this site. The advantage of the IMG approach is that you place multiple pictures into one post. To do this, click the little picture icon (fourth from the right) on top of the posting. The commands are {IMG} URL {/IMG} where the squiggly brackets are replaced by square brackets. I say it this way because if I put the square brackets in, this site will interpret it as an image command. The URL is the web site address of the picture.

Please see http://carecure.rutgers.edu/spinewir...e/CareCure.htm if you want to know more details about how to use this site.

Wise.

When I try to take an image off a web site, I do it by right clicking on the image and choosing save picture as. The trouble is it saves it as a ART file, which no program I have can open. Any suggestions for getting Web images in gif or jpeg format?

Wesley- If you dont want the image saved on your pc click "properties"

highlight the address "copy"

when you do a post at CC check the box "attatchment"

"Paste" the address on the spot CC requests it in.

One way would be to get rid of AOL, or to use a different browser such as Internet Explorer while using your AOL service. If memory serves, Microsoft still is giving out IE as a free download.

Better yet, go get Mozilla.
