I have done it now!

I, the least of all geeks, has successfully networked my home...I am now wireless at all hours of the day and night from all the favorite spots in my home...and I did not curse...much ...during the process...

Mary, if only the screen on your laptop is broken, then you could purchase a computer monitor for approximately $100. You will not be mobile but at least you will have a computer to use.

is it possible to solder the thing back on, or is it in the "bag of parts" configuration?
