Virus....
OK, somehow my computer has contracted a virus, actually, one file had two viruses in it. I ran my McAfee Virus Scan to clean my computer up and it deleted the infected files. The problem is, I still cannot use my Outlook Express and also my Internet Explorer acts goofy. How do I fix it? My Netscape browser works as good as ever or most of other applications I tried...
Please, could anybody help? krajaxa

Outlook will try to open, but never finishes up and kind of freezes up.
IE brings tons of popups and when I try to close some of them it shuts it down. In addition it's very slow... I suppose the virus infected the two applications, should I reinstall them or is there a way around? Thankx! k

Make sure you have the latest virus definitions from McAfee then scan your entire system.
The pop up windows may be from spyware. So download and run "Ad-aware" and "Spybot - Search and Destroy", you can find them free at www.tucows.com. -Scott |

Ok guys, I tried something else too... I restored my system to about two weeks ago and it brought my Outlook email back... And got rid of the homepage website that somehow changed itself to default in the IE and ... tada!... there is no popups coming in... Anyways, thank God for Netscape anyways...!!! I will download one of those ad-awares for the times I use IE...
My virus scan is the most current and we download updates whenever they are available (the program notifies us). And I scanned the whole system one more time just before I got on here, but didn't find anything... That must be good? Thanks guys for the help! k

Glad to read that you think the virus is gone!
By the way, you can always do a free online VirusScan and you do not have to register.PN http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp |
