Anybody from INDIA????
Hi,
My Brother in law has c5-c6 injury in April09....He is in India spine center DElhi for Rehab... While there he had Autonomic dyreflexia & that time he had seizurers&high BP...but Thank God he was in the spine hospital..&.he was saved ... We r very worried about the future as he wants to go back to his home (Jammu) & we all r so worried abut AD/seizures ...as in INDIA there is no emergency services available for spinal injury patients ... What can we do to prevent another episode of AD...What emergency medicines/equipments we shud have at home ... Please help us... Preety |

There is a great Practice Guideline listed in the sticky's of this forum that details the pathophysiology of autonomic dysreflexia and treating it. With the appropriate information, you should be able to manage most of these occurences. They do not always go as far as the one that you described your brother in law had, but it is a serious condition that you need to know how to handle.
