I was AMAZED that it took me out of full on oxy w/ds. I would say it took about 90% of the physical symptoms away and 60-70% of the mental crap. It also stops loose bowels ect. It has helped many people get off severe drug addictions. There are many positive stories across internet forums from people it has helped. It also works well WITH your pain meds and seems to have a synergistic effect. It can be ordered online pretty cheaply. I suggest you look into it. I hope you feel better and know that you are not alone! If you have any questions feel free to pm me, i dont visit this site as much as i used to, so you may want to email me.

I know about Kratom and someone who took it (oh so well) for a long time. yes did work well for pain, however the person had to go back on suboxone to get off of it as it has very bad withdrawals, even though he tried to taper. But if you are going to be on pain meds (he didnt need to be anyway and don't plan to be off them, this may be good for you, you are right also cheap and it worked very well for him, but has tolerance and potential for abuse as well.

I feel kratom is very effective for the WDs of complete oxy stopage. If taken only during the WDs and not abused. I havnt taken it for extended periods of time, but long 'nuff to know it doesnt help with serious neuro pain well alone. It does have a sinergistic effect with opees. Alone ,It may elevate your mood a bit, which helps the pain a bit. Read up about it, there are forums on the kratomking.com and elsewhere.

It is said by many to have a reverse tolerance effect....which is weird. The motto of many Kratom users is Less IS more...

No baron this person had a drug habit, different story. Was taking pain meds for pain and wanted to get off but unfortunately abused the Kratom as well. The addictive behavior doesn't allow for taking as prescribed or in Kratoms case as recommended. He DID state worked well for pain. Yours different situation entirely.

Hi I am new on here and just saw marycsm and barindidit post about kratom. I tried a 3 gram pack of one called purple stick kratom and it did nothing but then I looked online and several people said to stay away from ones with catchy names like that. So went on line and found several people say indo kratom was really good so I rodered it and it suppose to show up fed ex in the morning. Do you guys know if this brand will help with the oxycodone withdrawl. on day 4 and I am still dying over here. I can't eat, I can bearly get out of bed. I have a few ambain to help me sleep a little. What other tips do people have. I want to cancel my doctor appt for next Tuesday I can feel a little better. I have quit coke, alcohol. even gave up cigarettes 20 years ago but all of them together do not equal the trouble I am having. My chest hurts my asthma seems to be worse because I am having trouble just catching my breath. Even my sight seems blurry. Any advice would be much appreciated. thx

Doctors that prescribe opiates for pain management constantly have the DEA monitoring them and if you take more meds than prescribed, you're violating your contract. It's not fair and the doctors don't like it but they can lose their licenses to practice.

You could try tapering down the meds you have by decreasing as much as possible every few days, but I recommend that you go see an addiction specialist. I am NOT saying thay you're an 'addict', but an addiction doc will be able to help you off the opiates, better assess your need for pain management and in general be more helpful. Addiction specialists are seeing many more pain management patients these days that run into trouble because of the strict rules.

Thx for the reply. I ran out 4 days ago. I know I am an addict you don't have to beat around the bush. I have fought these demons my whole life as I stated before that I quit coke, alcohol and cigarettes. The doctor has done nothing wrong. Over the past 4 years I have had two hand and wrist surgeries, knee surgery and recently got into a car accident and slipped some discs. I don't insurance any more so my options are limited. I would rather get through this and just deal with the pain instead of masking it. But these withdrawls are bad. Day 4 is as bad as day 1.

I know that this is an older post, but have you tried Suboxone? I wrote this on another post too, but it honestly works!! I was at the point where I was taking Percocet and the morphine ER (extended release) in a day and was still getting withdrawals if I didn't take them constantly. So when I lived in Michigan I saw a doctor that got me on the suboxone. It works on both withdrawals and pain! it's great!!! I have been taking them for about 6 months or so now and couldn't be happier. I don't have to stress on running out early or let alone WITHDRAWALS! they suck! Hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to ask!

I tried using lyrica pregablin 2 X 150mg after being advised to do so by a so called friend
Great news it does work as foretold but I am now addicted to both opiates and lyrica
do yourself a favor and unless you wanna double the unpleasantness of opium withdrawal stay away from lyrica cos you get withdrawal from that even with a real good supply of codeine and end up doubling the dose of both.
Absolute worst mistake of my life.....
